v25.0.1Midgame; DXMT 0.51 on Tahoe. No FSR/upscale. Way better than d3dmetal or bundled DXMT! Initially stutters a lot, play it for 15 mins to get all shaders compiled, and then stutters are rare - still happen though! Expect solid 80 fps with drops to 65-ish. 1512x982 res is perfect for this game, change my mind.

v25.0.1GPTK 3.0b1 on Tahoe. Decently built-up Midgame (Tier 4) gives 70-100 fps on dx12, graphics see screenshot. Performance is good, looks a bit ass. You'd think Medium is safe 60, but no, hovers around 40 with drops to 35 somehow :/ low is the safest bet. 14" MBP 14/20/24.

Arcade, macOS Tahoe. Has controller support! Also some interesting dynamic frame rate targeting - it pulls off 4k@120 no problem, but in low-power mode it'll be locked to 30, or 60 if you drop resolution to about 1080p. Almost like it has a power cap. GPU spends 2ms drawing a frame, not all that heavy.

12 hours in. Not ideal, but very enjoyable. Stock settings (were hi), haven't changed a thing. HDR is great; grass and faces - much less so. Once you're immersed it's amazing.

v25.040-60 fps, more than usable once you get past the shader compilation stutter nightmare. FPS drops are common. Game loooves your RAM, 24 gig is the minimum for Medium I'd say.
CrossOver
v25.0Runs, but is a very bad port overall. You're better off emulating the PS2 version or playing the one for iPad if you bought it already.

v25.0Use DXMT! With d3dmetal, Steam overlay won't open and you can't log in to play. Also, by default it's 3024x1964 at 2x, so the game actually renders at 6k-ish resolution! To solve this, open "Display Settings" in Crossover and set 1920x1200@120 for the display. Then it renders at 1440p-ish and is much easier to drive. Even at 6k the "4k image quality" preset rarely has fps drops to 100.
Parallels
v20FusionFix (without 'common/shaders'!). FPS is 65-80-120 driving around the city and doing missions. Texture Quality - Medium, Shadows - Soft, view/detail distance and vehicle density default (bugged in this port), everything else maxxed out. VM has 8 cores and 12 GB RAM dedicated to it.
Stutters from time to time, you get used to it very quickly actually. Until we get a new port from R* or d3d9 DXMT, this is the best way to play the game.

v25.03k@60 on high. The catch? Hangs after tutorial. No mission is playable because of this. Newer builds don't even get in-game until you try like 20 times. Just some wine/game compat issue. Otherwise the M4 Pro is very capable of running it.
Native
Locked 30 at 4k if you choose fidelity over performance
Native
40 to 60 depending on the area; slow-paced game so you don't even notice
CrossOver
v25.0To fix missions not loading, install FusionFix and limit fps to 60. Do not copy "common/shaders" folder - kills all performance!! Even then it freezes sometimes, but is completable and enjoyable. 60 indoors, drops to 30 or even 20 during chases and lots of cars/objects on screen.

v25.0M1 MBA 8 GB RAM. Disable FSR (only reduces performance) - FXAA or None works the best. Game can't seem to detect 1080p for the MBA's native display.
40-45 FPS outdoors, 60 indoors, dips to 25 FPS in rare crowded fights - still very enjoyable.
Uses ~4.5GB RAM, so close background apps to avoid FPS drops.
CrossOver
v25.0Ultra settings, no FSR & CHSS shadows, cap at 60 - solid 60 and minimal fan noise. Very comfy.
Without the cap, it generally stays around 65, climbs to 80 when you're not looking into the far distance, and easily reaches 120 indoors.

v25.0Gameplay Demo v30. 60 to 120 depending on a map and zoom level.
40-60 fps at 3024x1964 (native 14").

Game was updated to 64 bit and now runs well via Rosetta 2 - ignore the Steam badge.
Frustratingly, changes macOS resolution on launch and doesn't restore it on exit. Seems to be locked to 60 fps.

v25.0Stutters heavily. Fix it by replacing the FMOD DLL:
https://gist.github.com/djsmax/dbfae6241d9d5f15f015fbae75a2baae
Locked 60 at 4K with Low Power Mode on (wow!).
Minor shader stutter at scene/fight starts - disappears quickly.

v25.0M1 Air - game stutters heavily. Fix it by replacing the FMOD DLL with a newer version:
https://gist.github.com/djsmax/dbfae6241d9d5f15f015fbae75a2baae - stutter mostly gone.
Stable 60 at 1080p and less stable but enjoyable 50-60 at MBA's native 1600p. Borderline unplayable without the patch.

v25.0Loads into menu with a black screen and nothing works. Crashes after a minute or so. CX 25.0.1
CrossOver
v25.0Stutters briefly at the start of chapters due to shader compilation, otherwise locked 60. Crashed once in 12 hours.

Looks stunning in HDR on the MPB display.

v25.070-80 fps on High in a huuuge park. 50 zoomed out.
Ultra graphics doesn’t add much tbh and only eats frames.
CrossOver
v25.0Mid-game, can't maintain more than 35. Dunno how others get more, probably because 24 GB RAM is not enough. M4 Pro 14/20.

The native version runs at 40-60 fps, but newer chips are bottlenecked (due to OpenGL), controller support is broken, and graphics settings are limited.
Runs loads better (70-90 fps at 4k) through D3DMetal or DXMT—please consider using those if you can.
Native
Locked 60 except 2 or 3 areas on the map where it drops to 30 in combat, overall very solid. Wireless DualSense full support (very rare and impressive).

v25.0HairWorks off, everything on Ultra. Mostly 60, dips to 40 in busy areas.
