CrossOver
v25.0
The game is very unoptimized and stutters a lot

CrossOver
v25.0.1
Runs very smooth however temperatures hit 109°C (danger zone)

Parallels
v26
Great with FusionFix pre 4.0 if you set an FPS limit. While the max FPS varies with resolution, the min FPS is always around 40 across all the resolution options. With the new options in FusionFix 4.0, it hangs closer to 30FPS.

CrossOver
v25.1.1
In general the game runs relatively well, however the FPS are somewhat low, especially due to GTA IV not being that graphics intensive. Getting around 40-60 depending on the area, under the bridge for example it runs at around 40fps. Also, I haven't gotten my Dualsense to work. Also, the mouse control is weird, it lags pretty bad no matter if I use my Magic Mouse or the Trackpad. I would still rate it good however, since it does run on the highest settings and I am able to play it without any "major" issues.

Parallels
v20
in 8gb m3 air
only the drm free copy works fine in parallels. if you download from steam then rockstar launcher will make it unplayable. the steam version stutters so much

CrossOver
v25.0
Game gets stuck when you load a mission but if all you do is roaming, its playable.

CrossOver
v25.0
To fix missions not loading, install FusionFix and limit fps to 60. Do not copy "common/shaders" folder - kills all performance!! Even then it freezes sometimes, but is completable and enjoyable. 60 indoors, drops to 30 or even 20 during chases and lots of cars/objects on screen.

CrossOver
v25.0.1
Takes some messing around to get it to work. The port is bad so graphics have to be low.

Parallels
v20
FusionFix (without 'common/shaders'!). FPS is 65-80-120 driving around the city and doing missions. Texture Quality - Medium, Shadows - Soft, view/detail distance and vehicle density default (bugged in this port), everything else maxxed out. VM has 8 cores and 12 GB RAM dedicated to it.
Stutters from time to time, you get used to it very quickly actually. Until we get a new port from R* or d3d9 DXMT, this is the best way to play the game.

Parallels
v26
Great with FusionFix if you set an FPS limit. While the max FPS varies with resolution, the min FPS is always around 50 across all the resolution options.
