CrossOver
v25.0
Runs great, even with 8gb RAM with 6-7 traffic vehicles.

CrossOver
v25.0
without traffic

CrossOver

Just don't use traffic

CrossOver

The game runs great on the base M4, but for some reason using traffic, the game jumps from ~60 fps to around ~40 and sometimes even ~30. Loading traffic also takes a lot of time. The game also has some graphical glitches if using full screen mode (by clicking the green button on macOS window), otherwise if using the built in fullscreen/borderless preset it runs great.

Medium~High w/ traffic disabled

plays OK, but often there is a huge fps dip when traffic is on, or during premade missions. Freeroam is ok and between 70-90fps

CrossOver
v27.0
GPTK 4 on macOS 27 beta made a massive difference.
WCUSA went from barely pushing 40-50 fps on 1728x1117 (Steam Deck preset) to a solid 50-60 fps on 1200p High. It drops to around 40-45 avg in the City, but hits 50-65 avg in less dense areas. Bumping the res and settings while gaining performance puts it on par with M1 Max (non-binned) on GPTK 3 (macOS 26).
Haven't tried traffic yet (probably need an M2/M3 Pro/Max and at least 24GB for that), but running this well on 16GB unified memory with translation overhead is impressive considering the 16GB RAM + 6GB VRAM min specs.

CrossOver
v26.0
Depends on the map, some smaller maps run at 60 FPS, big maps such as West coast and east coast run around 45-50FPS

CrossOver
v26.3
The new v0.39 update made the game almost unplayable, I recommend not to update..

Using sikarugir with 3dmetal translation mode i got on westcoast USA i could get 60-100 fps using lowest settings aat bordeless 1440x900 or 40-60fps using low/mid settings. i used newest version beamng today (0.38.6). for anyone woundering sikarugir is a free github repo that was relativley easy to use and can be used for a lot of windows apps to run on mac, highly reccomend for yall to try it out with, only thing is that i couldnt seem to get vulkan to run anyhow, no matter what tralsation layer was used
