Review Note:

Steam's original version (non-Definitive edition) didn't work very well.
At first, it would show the error "Cannot find 640X 480 mode", which normally could be fixed by installing SilentPatch with Ddraw component and setting compatibility to Windows 7 or XP, but that didn't work.
The only solution was to paste a gta3.set file that I found on Reddit at the "GTA3 User Files" folder. Even so... it took like a minute to get past a white screen and finally show the game's main menu.
Gameplay seemed smooth at first, but got laggy after 2 minutes playing, so I don't think it's worth insisting in this version of the game.
